Welcome aboard...

Nautical

The style of the café restaurant nods toward a nautical style, and if you look around you’ll notice a classic model ship displayed in the dining area, a black as night raven light fitting featured discreetly in the bar, and a number of rope, skull and ship related items scattered around the building.

Produce

A vertically standing boat with shelving in the recess displays relishes, preserves and
other goods from local makers as well as our own produce.

Leave the big smoke behind...

Long John’s is only a stones throw from South Gippsland’s Great Southern Rail Trail, making it an ideal spot for a coffee or bite to eat on a day trip, after a relaxing bike ride, or on the way to (or from) the beautiful Wilson’s Promontory National Park (only 50 minutes drive to Tidal River).
It’s also worth noting that Fish Creek is the ‘gateway’ to Waratah Bay and Sandy Point (14 minutes), a short 15 minute drive from Meeniyan, and only 11 minutes from neighbouring Foster. If you’re travelling from the big smoke of Melbourne, it’s a leisurely 2 hr 20 minute cruise along the South Gippsland Highway to get here.

Anchorage

Parking is available at the rear of the building, and (environmentally friendly packaged) take away is available as a pre-order over the phone or in-store. The spacious bathrooms are disability friendly, non-gendered, and have change table facilities available in both of them. High-chairs are available too.
